What is the Annual Fund?

Gifts to the Annual Fund provide revenue to enhance each Western Nebraska Community College student's experience. The Annual Fund Campaign raises unrestricted funds, which are key to allowing the Foundation flexibility to address essential items such as the needs of WNCC students, unanticipated expenses that may arise in programming or at any of the three campus facilities, funding for faculty development, funding for new courses of study or the enhancement of existing courses of study and funding for campus preservation, renovation and advancement.

Why does Western Nebraska Community College need private gifts?

Western Nebraska Community College is focused on affordable and accessible quality education and it is the mission of the Foundation to advance that cause for the benefit of the communities the College serves. Though Western Nebraska Community College receives part of its total budget from the State of Nebraska and from student tuition and fees, each year the Western Nebraska Community College Foundation receives requests from the college for support for projects, programs, students and faculty that would not be funded were it not for the generosity of private donors who have contributed to the Annual Fund.

Do all gifts really make a difference?

Yes. Every gift makes a difference. All gifts are greatly appreciated and benefit Western Nebraska Community College, which ultimately benefits the communities throughout the 12.5 counties that Western Nebraska Community College serves. Gifts of all amounts improve accessibility to education, enhance available resources, and help advance the education students receive.

How do you benefit from giving?

Beyond the personal satisfaction that comes from supporting Western Nebraska Community College, there are other benefits of giving. Your gift to the Foundation is tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. You will receive recognition in our annual report. When you make a donation of $1000 or more, you will become a member of the WNCC Foundation Visionaries Club for a 12-month period, beginning upon receipt of your gift. When you make a one-time or cumulative gift of $25,000 or more, you will become a lifetime member of the WNCC Foundation Visionaries Club.
